How to run a gated reveal campaign that captures emails

A plain landing page asks for an email and gives nothing back until after the form submits. A gated reveal flips the order: people see the picture start to unlock in front of them, and the email becomes the last small step before the prize, not a wall before anything happens. Here is how to set one up.

1. Pick the reveal

Choose what is worth unlocking: a new product photo, a discount code, an early-access link, or a teaser for a launch. The picture is the hook, so it should be something people already want to see.

2. Set the gate to collect

In the mask editor, set a challenge to “collect” instead of a quiz question. Instead of answering, the player enters an email address, and the mask lifts once it is submitted. You can mix a collect mask with a quiz mask in the same game if you want a bit of both.

3. Keep it to two or three masks

A marketing campaign should feel quick, not like a scavenger hunt. Two or three masks is enough to build anticipation without losing people halfway through.

4. Brand the game

A Business plan lets you apply your own colors and logo to the play page instead of the default look, so the campaign feels like it belongs to your brand, not a generic tool.

5. Share one link

Drop the same link in a social post, an email signature, a QR code on packaging, or an event booth screen. Every channel points at the same reveal, so you are not managing separate assets per platform.

6. Read the funnel

The dashboard tracks views, starts, mask completions, and captured emails, so you can see exactly where people drop off and export the list of leads once the campaign ends.

Why gating beats a plain form

A form asks for trust upfront. A reveal earns it: the picture is already moving before anyone types an email, so the ask feels like the last step of something already in motion instead of the first hurdle. That is the same reason a scratch card or an advent calendar gets more engagement than a plain announcement.
